A four-person leadership group engaged with community leaders, beyond the ones pre-identified by Ashoka. As a result, it developed a bold, focused, and unapologetic vision, rooted in the lived experiences of leaders of color, advancing community-based practices. What started as a well-intentioned initiative became a BIPOC-led movement, which calls upon those, with the most power, to yield that power to those, uniquely qualified to lead.
